“I didn’t realize Catalina Island was so big. 

The off-roading, like I just felt I was kind of on an African type of trip. You didn’t feel like you were on an island. 

The tour guide was absolutely amazing.

“We saw 26 bison, we actually counted them – 26.  

It was very educational about the conservation aspect of the naturalists and the work being done. 

You always just think of Avalon when you think of Catalina. So getting to go see the rest of the Island was beautiful and surprisingly the views and beaches – I just had no idea.  

Our tour guide was great. He had so much information, you can tell he loves it and is passionate about it. It made you feel like you’re part of the community. 

I would highly recommend, if you come to Catalina Island, to do a Conservancy tour. I actually leaned over and said I’m really glad we did this.”

“We didn’t know the history, how much history it has – the Wrigley’s, Hollywood, the military. 

The tour guide was awesome.  

It was more than I thought we’d get to see. We saw bison just feet from the vehicle. 

I didn’t know it was so big on the other side. So much more stuff there to see.”

“The valleys, how you can see them from the perspective up on the hill, something you can’t see from Avalon. 

Avalon is touristy, lots of shop and stores, beachfront which is nice. But up there, it’s all nature, all wild. That’s all you see. The trees, mountains and valleys, it’s just wonderful to be up there in the backcountry.  

It’s just something you have to experience.”
