Guided Spring Members Hike with Scenic Lunch

Celebrate the first weekend of spring and feel inspired on this special guided members hike with lunch on Saturday, March 21. A Conservancy guide will lead hikers through 7.5 miles of trail, navigating lush green hills dotted with seasonal wildflowers.
The moderately challenging hike begins at Blackjack Campground, travels to Inspiration Point and returns to Haypress Reservoir, where we’ll enjoy lunch together. Along the way, hikers will have the opportunity to explore Catalina’s unique flora and fauna while connecting with fellow Conservancy supporters and staff.
A special discounted rate of $30 is available to members, however, non-members are welcome to join for $60 and learn about the benefits of being part of the Catalina Island Conservancy and its community of Island supporters.
What to Know
Meet at the Trailhead Visitor Center in Avalon at 8 a.m. Conservancy vehicles will depart for Blackjack Campground drop-off at 8:15 a.m.
Lunch will be provided at Haypress Reservoir at the conclusion of the hike.
Hikers will be transported back to the Trailhead by 2:30 p.m.
If you plan to depart Long Beach for same day travel, book a ticket on the 6 a.m. ferry. Travel to and from Catalina Island is not included.
What to Bring
- Wear long pants and layers, as morning weather begins cool and warms up throughout the day
- A refillable water bottle
- Sunscreen
