Catalina Kids’ Nature Lab: Afterschool Science Mondays
January 27 @ 2:45 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us for the first session of our free monthly after-school series at The Trailhead on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 2:45 PM to 4:00 PM. Each month, we’ll explore a new theme and engage in hands-on activities that celebrate the natural wonders of Catalina. This month’s focus is on the island’s native and endemic birds, perfect for young nature enthusiasts eager to learn and create.
Dive into Catalina’s bird life through a hands-on native bird talk, where students will learn about local bird species, their habitats, and unique adaptations. Following the lesson, participants will dive into two creative activities: crafting a bird feeder to take home for birdwatching and designing their own bird models inspired by the species they’ve learned about.
