The Catalina Island Conservancy has launched four new daily shuttle services connecting the Trailhead Visitor Center to Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden, providing easier access for visitors. The service, called Wildlands Express, will be free with a purchased garden entry ticket.
Timed with cruise ship and ferry arrivals, the shuttles aim to improve accessibility for visitors. The 3.2-mile roundtrip walk to the gardens from Avalon can be challenging due to the incline, and this new option ensures more people can enjoy the space.
The service was added in response to growing interest, with the gardens welcoming nearly 50,000 visitors in 2024.
Visitors can purchase their ticket to the Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden at the Conservancy’s Trailhead Visitor Center or online. Shuttles run daily:
- Trailhead Visitor Center to Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden: 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
- Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Garden to Trailhead Visitor Center: 10 a.m., 11a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Members can receive a range of Conservancy benefits, including unlimited admission to the Wrigley Memorial & Botanic Gardens. See all the benefits available.
