Growing Catalina: A Native Plant Propagation Workshop

Jul. 30 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Register Today!

Discover the critical role of native Catalina Island plants in this engaging, hands-on propagation workshop and guided garden tour. Learn why native species are essential to healthy ecosystems and how to grow these plants to support local biodiversity.

Conservancy staff will lead a short educational talk and a walk through the Botanic Garden, highlighting natural growth processes and what makes Catalina’s flora unique. Then, roll up your sleeves and take part in a hands-on propagation activity, using live cuttings of the Catalina currant and practicing the same techniques we use at the Conservancy.

Every participant will take home a propagated cutting and the knowledge to help it thrive, so you can start your own native garden.

All experience levels welcome. Come grow with us!
