Flutter and Fuzz: Needle Felting Nature’s Pollinators
May. 10 @ 11:30 am - 3:30 pm
Free
This month, we’re celebrating Pollinators!
Join us for an immersive workshop where you’ll explore the vital role of pollinators in our Catalina Island ecosystems while learning the fiber art of needle felting to create your own fuzzy native pollinator.
Discover the environmental importance, cultural symbolism, and ecological diversity of pollinators as we dive into their impact on Catalina’s landscape and our everyday lives. Then, use this inspiration to bring one to life in wool—whether it’s a tiny bee or a vibrant butterfly—through needle felting. We will also have felt cutouts for those who might want to make a simpler project.
Celebrate their beauty. Learn their story. Create with intention.
