Dr. Denise Knapp shares insights from two decades of experience studying California’s ecosystems, including eight years as a plant ecologist on Catalina Island. She conducted extensive research on the island’s native oak trees, focusing on their health, regeneration challenges, and the impacts of environmental stress and invasive species. At this event, she’ll share her expertise and explain why these iconic trees matter for the Island’s future.
