Inspired by a photograph she saw at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History & Culture, Roberts joined an underwater archaeology group, beginning a transformative journey around world to uncover lost narratives of resistance and resilience, and reconnected with her own ancestral roots. Through deeply personal storytelling and rich historical context, Roberts will share her exploration of identity, belonging and the power of reclaiming forgotten histories.
